This post is aimed at women with children who want help with domestic violence.

Last year, 80 women were killed by their current or ex partner and numbers rose radically during the lockdown. Your children are also at risk of mental or physical abuse. Don't let that be you! Get help with domestic violence.

Here are five good sources of help with domestic violence.

1. Family Rights Group is a good source of advice and help with domestic violence. It also has a free helpline (see website for hours) 0808 801 0366

2. National Domestic Abuse Helpline has a free 24 hour service on 08082000 247 and a useful website for those wanting help with domestic violence.

3. Women's Aid offer information on refuges and advice on how to get help with domestic violence for you and your family.

4. Rights of Women offer free and confidential legal advice. For help with domestic violence, it's useful to understand the law and your legal rights. Please see their website, for family law advice phone numbers.

5. Citizens Advice - for help with domestic violence you can attend your local branch when open, use their advice lines (03444 111 444 calls charged at landline rate) or, for more information on help with domestic violence, visit their website, where online chat is also available.
